Inside, are the drive gears and motor for raising and lowering
the right arm. The interrupter for the encoder disc is
visible at the top of the photo at right (tan PCB).
The disc itself is behind another panel. At 10 o'clock in this photo,
there's a
tilt sensor consisting of a pendulum and cage.
The photos below show close-ups of the front and back of the tilt sensor.
A coiled hair wire allows current flow through the pendulum bob without inhibiting its motion.
